Berlitz German Review

Berlitz Publishing has created a fast selling new course on learning German for students of any level.  Berlitz, a respected name in the foreign language field has repackaged, as well as revamped their past basic German course to target the current language learners.  This Berlitz German review will focus on the three packets and three audio CD’s that combine into this product.

Using an academic approach, the course forces you to use both the written and audio sections, enabling you to learn in a variety of ways.  Throughout the book are exercises that test your understanding of the current tasks, and offer ways to expand from what you have learned.  By organizing the book with your learning power taken into account, the course provides pauses that allow you to absorb a large portion of what is taught.

Traditionally, Berlitz introduces grammar naturally, but this course also provides basic explanations to build off of.  Accompany the audio CDs are the written learner’s guide, which gives an simple overview of how German grammar should be, and provides tips and advice.  Contained within the guide are also every German word used within the CDs, giving you the opportunity to look up anything you do not understand.

The audio CDs are a large piece of this Berlitz German review, due to the importance of them within the course.  The three CDs contain numerous speakers, both male and female, giving you a varied course that will stick out more than the monotone tapes of the past.  The high sound quality is also a plus for this course.  All lessons are easily found on your standard CD player and allow for use anywhere you have one available.

These audios, accompanied by the 128 page course book are easy to follow, and create a comfortable learning experience.  The ease of use makes them valuable to any age, and their course material uses sound progression throughout.  With a reasonable price tag attached, the course is an overall bargain.  Except for the lack of software, there are only positive responses for this Berlitz German review.
